Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to Pussexperten AS (hereinafter referred to as "we") and explains why we collect information about you, how we use this information, and how we consider your privacy.

Our basis for processing personal data varies and may include your consent or legal obligations. Additionally, it may be necessary to process personal data to fulfill an agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

This may include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, and browsing and behavior history. All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage, and disclosure, is subject to specific regulations, including the Personal Data Act. We are responsible for ensuring that processing complies with legal rules. The Data Protection Authority oversees compliance with the law.

For example, this may include information used to show you targeted advertisements on third-party websites based on products you've viewed in our online store. If we use such services, we will ask for your consent on our website and only collect the information if you agree. If you do not respond to the consent request, we will not collect the information.

3. What Do We Use the Information For?

We use personal data to deliver our products (or services) to you. For example, we need personal data for you to log in to our pages and, if relevant, to pay for goods and services. We also use personal data to ensure the best possible user experience, including tailoring content display to your screen/device and ensuring the fastest possible page load times.

This will be based on your own behavior, such as the pages you have visited, ads you have clicked on, or articles you have read, and the behavior of other users with similar patterns to yours.

We use your personal data to enhance our advertising. By creating a profile with us, you agree to targeted advertising through programmatic purchases and targeted advertising through social media, where your personal data will be used in such advertising purchases.

We compile statistics and map market trends to improve and further develop our product offerings and services. As far as practicable, we attempt to do this with anonymous data, without knowing that the information is specifically related to you.

e) To Prevent Misuse of Our Services

We use personal data to prevent misuse of our services. Misuse can include attempts to log in to other accounts, fraud attempts, spamming, harassment, and other actions prohibited by Norwegian law.

4. Sharing of Information

In some cases, we share personal data with other companies that perform services on our behalf. This is primarily to provide you with a safer and better shopping experience. Key examples include:

a) When Others Perform Services on Our Behalf

For example, web and marketing agencies to manage the online store and show you targeted marketing and create campaigns. These entities are not allowed to use the personal data for anything other than providing services to us. If you have given us consent to share data, it may be shared with the following third parties:

  • Google Analytics and Google AdWords

    Information about website usage patterns (such as which pages are visited and when) is shared with Google in a partially anonymized way. We cannot link this to you personally but can use the information to see general usage patterns on our website and to send you tailored advertising in Google's network in the form of display and text ads on third-party websites.

  • Facebook Messenger (Chat)

    If we use Facebook’s chat solution, Facebook may identify you on our website so you do not have to provide your name and email to initiate a chat with us. We do not store this data on our website, but chat logs will be stored on our Facebook Messenger account. The log can be removed upon your request if you contact us.

  • Facebook Pixel

    This site may use Facebook Pixel, a cookie that tracks your visit to our website so you may later receive advertisements from us via Facebook’s network.

  • Contact Forms

    If you use one of our contact forms, the form will be sent as an email to us and stored on our email server. A copy of the email may also be stored in a database to ensure we have received your message if the email does not come through. This database is regularly deleted.

b) In Case of Suspected Legal Violations

Information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request. We may also disclose information if there is suspicion of fraud or if information is needed to resolve specific disputes.

5. Deletion of Personal Data

We are legally required to retain certain personal data. Examples include:

  • Order Data

You have the right to have all our information about you deleted upon request, unless we are legally required to retain it. You can contact us to cancel your customer relationship by sending an email to post@pussexperten.no.

6. Security of Personal Data

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal data under our control from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may periodically update or change the privacy policy. Major changes will be communicated.

8. Right to Complain

You have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, which in Norway is the Data Protection Authority.
